Our Specialized LGBTQIA2S+ Therapy Approaches

At Anchor Light Therapy Collective, we utilize a range of therapeutic methods tailored to the LGBTQIA2S+ community, ensuring that every client receives personalized and effective support:

Affirmative Therapy

Affirmative therapy validates and celebrates your LGBTQIA2S+ identity. It focuses on creating a safe, affirming environment where clients feel understood and supported in their personal growth and healing.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, reduce anxiety and depression, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. This evidence-based approach is particularly effective for addressing mood disorders, self-esteem, and stress management.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy strengthens emotional connections, especially for couples. This approach helps partners understand their attachment needs and address patterns of disconnection, fostering deeper emotional bonds and healthier communication.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy empowers clients to reshape their personal stories, viewing themselves as the authors of their lives. This approach helps clients separate themselves from problems and rewrite narratives that align with their true identity and values.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy is especially beneficial for LGBTQIA2S+ children. It offers them a non-verbal and creative way to express emotions, explore their identity, and process difficult experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

Gottman Therapy

Gottman Therapy is focused on relationship dynamics, using research-backed tools to improve communication, trust, and intimacy between partners. It is particularly effective for LGBTQIA2S+ couples looking to enhance their relationship skills and resolve conflict.

Trauma-Informed Care

Our Trauma-Informed Therapy emphasizes safety and empowerment, helping individuals process past trauma, such as discrimination or abuse, without re-traumatization. We create an environment that prioritizes healing and resilience.

Sex Therapy

Sex Therapy supports individuals and couples in navigating sexual concerns. From sexual identity to intimacy issues, we provide a nonjudgmental space to discuss sexual health, preferences, and experiences.
