The Financials of Therapy

Therapy is an investment. Investing in your mental health supports growth and healing in a way that can change your life. We understand that finances play a role in how our clients decide to choose the therapy services that best meet their needs. This page is dedicated to giving our clients information about the cost of therapy and the options and resources that may be available to you when choosing an Out of Network Provider.

Anchor Light Therapy Collective does not participate with any insurance panels. We are considered an out-of-network insurance provider. Participation with insurance panels results in clinical decisions being made by insurance companies and not the therapists themselves. Bypassing insurance also allows the utmost flexibility and privacy for our clients.

How do Out of Network Benefits Work?

When utilizing out of network benefits the client pays for their therapy session at the time of service. Anchor Light Therapy Collective will file a claim for reimbursement for services with your provider on your behalf after the session. If you qualify for reimbursement a check will be sent to you directly from your insurance provider.

How much will I be reimbursed?

This will depend on your individual plan. Not all plans include Out of Network benefits. Therefore, if your insurance plan does not have Out of Network benefits you will not be eligible for reimbursement. Plans that DO include Out of Network benefits will have an out of network deductible that you must meet prior to receiving reimbursement. Once your deductible is met your plan will reimburse you a percentage of the cost of your session. We understand that navigating insurance benefits can be confusing and frustrating. If you would like assistance in finding your Out of Network Eligibility and reimbursement rate, we are happy to help!

Please use the following link to upload your insurance card and provide your date of birth. ALTC will assist in helping you find out more details about reimbursement.

Note: You must sign in with a Google account in order to complete the form. If you don’t have a Google account, please email with the subject line ‘Insurance Check’. Include your full name, date of birth, and attach photos of both the front and back of your insurance card.

The out-of-network insurance benefit/contribution information mentioned above was obtained to the best of Anchor Light Therapy Collective’s knowledge. To confirm insurance eligibility, coverage amounts, copays, and other insurance information, you’ll need to contact your insurance provider directly. Anchor Light Therapy Collective cannot guarantee that submitted claims will be accepted. We advise you to confirm the details with your insurance provider directly.

What are my options if I don’t have Out of Network Benefits and the price of therapy feels out of reach?

Consider the short-term cost of therapy compared to the long-term cost of not seeking help. Anchor Light Therapy Collective values education and we are continually striving to offer you the highest quality of care. Our skilled therapists are trained in a variety of modalities and therapeutic interventions to provide our clients with a customized treatment plan that will support their individual mental health goals with efficiency and effectiveness.

Use pre-tax dollars

Did you know that you can use your Health Savings or Flexible Spending Account to pay for therapy using pre-tax dollars?  You can also speak with your tax preparer or accountant to see if you could deduct therapy expenses from your taxes as an out-of-pocket health expense.

Government insurance plans

We are not paneled with Washington Apple Plans, Medicare, or Medicaid. If you require a provider to accept a government plan, please click here.
