Does Anchor Light Couples and Family Therapy accept insurance?

Anchor Light does not accept insurance, and we are considered an out-of-network insurance provider.

Why doesn’t Anchor Light Couples and Family Therapy accept insurance?

Not accepting insurance gives you the utmost flexibility and privacy throughout your healing journey.

Insurance coverage for mental health services can be limited and requires a mental health diagnosis. You may not want or need a formal diagnosis in your health care records. And it gives you the freedom to choose which providers you see, how often you’ll attend therapy sessions, and to see your therapist for as long as you want without worrying about maxing out your benefits.

How do out-of-network benefits work?

Because Anchor Light doesn’t accept insurance, we’re considered out of network. You’ll pay for your therapy session at the time of service and are happy to provide you with a superbill after your session. You can send the superbill to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

How much will I be reimbursed?

This depends on your insurance plan.

Not all insurance plans include out-of-network benefits. If your insurance does not have an out-of-network benefit, you won’t be reimbursed for your appointments. If your plan includes an out-of-network benefit, you’ll need to meet your out-of-network deductible before you can be reimbursed.

We understand that navigating insurance benefits can be confusing and frustrating. If you would like assistance finding your out-of-network eligibility and reimbursement rate, we are happy to help!
