“I’m here to help you make sense of the messy parts — the grief that shows up in unexpected ways, the thoughts that keep you up at night, and the life changes that leave you wondering who you are now. I work with children, teens, adults, and couples to help them slow down and connect with their own inner voice again. In our sessions, there’s space for tears, laughter, honesty, and hope — because I believe even in the hardest seasons, you can feel more like yourself and more connected to the people who matter most.”

More About Sarah

Who I Work With

I work with individuals of all ages, teens, children, and couples during times of change, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm.

Children and teens — Building confidence, managing anxiety, navigating bullying or social changes, and helping them feel safe to be themselves.

Adults — Supporting high achievers, overthinkers, and those in transition to untangle thought patterns, connect with emotions, and build self-trust.

Couples — Helping partners prepare for marriage, navigate crossroads, or rebuild connection after loss by clarifying values and strengthening communication.

Specialties

  • Grief & Loss (death, chronic illness, breakups, divorce, pet loss, life transitions, identity changes)
  • Overthinking, anxiety, and perfectionism
  • Life transitions & identity development
  • Depression and stress management
  • Relationship challenges and couples therapy

My Approach

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about slowing down, creating space for what’s real, and finding a way forward that feels like you. Together, we’ll untangle what’s overwhelming, gain insight from your experiences, and strengthen your ability to navigate life with clarity and confidence.

I integrate evidence-based practices, including:

  • CBT & DBT — for coping skills and balancing emotions with logic
  • Narrative Therapy — for reframing unhelpful stories
  • Motivational Interviewing — for moving through stuck points
  • EFT & Gottman Method — for deepening emotional connection in relationships
  • Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy — for honoring loss and integrating it into life

Beyond the Therapy Room

I’m passionate about mental health education and advocacy — empowering people to better understand their emotional wellbeing and feel confident seeking the support they deserve. Through experiences lobbying for state mental health care legislation and raising awareness about mental health support in the community, I’ve worked to create meaningful change and provide accessible resources for those who need them. You can also hear me sharing insights, strategies, and real conversations about life and relationships as a co-host on Anchor Light’s “Holding Ground” podcast.

My Background

I’ve supported clients through pivotal and often painful life moments, from helping high school students cope with exclusion, trauma, and the pressures of burnout, to guiding patients and families at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center through illness, grief, and end-of-life transitions. These experiences reinforced my belief that even in life’s hardest seasons, there is still beauty, connection, and growth.
