Accepting New Clients

She/Her & They/Them

Ashlyn Graff, MS, LMHC

Individual, Couples & Teen Therapist

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

WA License #LH61369763

My objective is to empower my clients and help them develop the tools they need to reach their goals. I believe that empowerment is best achieved by gaining awareness of our trauma’s and negative cycles and in spaces that are free of judgment and shame.

I believe that people thrive when they are seen, heard, and connected. Our feelings give us important data about ourselves and how we perceive the world. I can provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to elicit insight about communication in relationships, identity, trauma, and other problems you may be experiencing. We all need support sometimes, and I would be honored to help you along part of your journey. I support my clients in living their most fulfilling lives and provide them with the tools they need to navigate the complex world that we live in. Healthy and loving relationships can be vital to mental health so creating kind and patient lines of communication between couples is a significant part of my work with them.

My clients describe me as unique, authentic, genuine, and empathic. I value connection, communication, my relationships with loved ones, having a sense of humor, and engaging in community. I believe in radical self expression and forging your own path in life; I do not see therapy as prescriptive or ‘one size fits all’, but rather as a collaborative effort with my clients to best meet their individual needs. I value LGBTQ rights, creating an equitable world for BIPOC populations, the social model of disability, and in harm reduction strategies. I come from a background of community mental health which provided me with a breadth of experience in working with diverse populations with varying needs and desires in treatment.

More About Ashlyn

I found my love for mental health along my educational and professional journey, and found that my natural aptitude for being present with others would allow me to do meaningful things in this field. In my first therapeutic approaches course, I knew that this was what I wanted to do. I obtained my Bachelors in Applied Behavioral Science from Seattle Central College, and shortly after entered my Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Since becoming fully licensed, I have increased my focus on working with couples and individuals with a history of trauma.

In my down time some of my other interests include listening to and seeing live music, hiking and camping, expression through arts and crafts, the art of make-up, getting comfortable and watching movies, and most importantly, spending time with loved ones.
