More About LK
I believe in working collaboratively with clients to encourage them to define and meet their goals. I operate from an empowerment and intersectional-feminist lens, which informs my therapeutic approach. I also utilize narrative and talk therapy. Operating from a systemic lens, I think we are all a part of systems, family or otherwise. Thus, working with the system can help create more balance and ease. I am also in the process of becoming certified in EMDR, with more information coming soon.
Others have described me as caring, resourceful, collaborative, trustworthy, genuine, accepting, empathetic, curious, and efficient. I will be integrating this into my practice to create an open and comfortable environment to support your continued growth towards your goals. I am also comfortable with discomfort and more than willing to be flexible and meet you where you are, especially if this is your first time in therapy.
I value communication, connection, equity, growth, honesty, intuition, and community engagement. I would love to see clients achieve a feeling of security within their bodies and selves, to develop new tools and skill sets, and decrease anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, and the impacts of trauma in daily life.
I am passionate about supporting queer and transgender communities, neurodivergent populations, polyamorous relationships, unique relationship structures, disabled and chronically ill individuals, blended families, individuals with trauma history, and grief. In the past, I have volunteered as a crisis line phone worker, where I have discussed topics like grief and loss, intense anxiety, depression, and other crises.
I look forward to working with you!

Why see an Intern?
Feeling the need to see a therapist, but the cost is prohibitive? Do you wish you could see a mental health professional in a comfortable setting? Anchor Light Therapy’s internship program makes mental healthcare more accessible to all members of the community. It also provides mentorship and supervision for the next generation of therapists.
Things to keep in mind when scheduling with interns:
- Scheduling a consultation with one of our interns allows you to have a 20 minute conversation with them to make sure they are a good match, in order to achieve your therapy goals
- Intern therapy sessions are not infinite. These students will complete their internship after 1 year
- Interns are supervised by licensed clinicians. They may consult with these supervisors, who may then review your therapy notes
- Interns cannot bill insurance for therapy sessions. Therefore, if you would like to bill your out-of-network benefits for services please schedule a consultation with our licensed thereapists.
How much does Intern Therapy cost?
Intern Therapy sessions cost $50 and are 50 minutes long.
Individual therapy sessions with a licensed Anchor Light Therapist cost $190 and are 50 minutes long.
