More About Teddric

I look at therapy as a gateway to peace and success. Having an unbiased opinion to offer clarity, support confidence in decision-making, and assist others in life transitions and unexpected whirlwinds is an exceptional tactic in improving behaviors and working towards reaching goals.

I am Teddric. I am a native of Houma, Louisiana and currently reside in Seattle. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate (LMHCA) and earned my Master’s degree in Community Mental Health Counseling in 2017 from Xavier University of Louisiana.

I started my career in musical theatre performing in regional theatres across the country in shows such as CATS, The Buddy Holly Story, and The Nutcracker. Since becoming a therapist, I use my theatrical creativity to implement fun and engaging programs to gain and keep the attention of my clients, especially in the adolescent age range. I have worked with individuals experiencing homelessness, addictions, as well as behavior disorders including Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

My clinical experience is guided by Adlerian Psychotherapy, a holistic approach to psychology that emphasizes the importance of overcoming feelings of inferiority and gaining a sense of belonging in order to achieve success and happiness. I have, also, gained experience in Trauma Informed Care and the Positive Behavioral Support Model.

I love to dance! My adrenaline is most high during audition processes. I love nature, spending time with family members and friends, traveling, frequent visits to the barbershop, hosting dinner parties, and smiling and laughing until it hurts.
