Focus Areas
Whether you are exploring therapy for the first time or simply looking for a new therapist, I am glad you’re here. Therapy can be intimidating!
My approach is psychodynamic, individualistic, and rooted in your narrative. We approach therapy together as a collaborative effort, understanding that you, your relationships, and family exist in a multi-layered story.
“Each person’s experience is unique. My goal in our time together is to understand the systems that are affecting your life in a supportive, non judgemental environment, and untangle how we can create change in our relationships and behaviors. I strive to maintain a space that is culturally-conscious, encourages self grace, compassion, and provides unconditional support.”

More About Christopher
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate (LMHCA) and I earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Mental Health Services (M.S.) in 2022, and my second Master’s in Professional Counseling (M. Phil. Ed.) a year later, both from the University of Pennsylvania.
My background is in supporting adolescents and teens in adjusting to tough periods of their lives and stories. I specialize in working in attachment issues; managing ADHD, OCD, depression, anxiety, sexual trauma, and grief.
In our therapeutic process, you are the expert. You have different lived experiences, attachments, skills, talents, and understand the best learning styles for you — I bring a mix of techniques, interventions, and resources to help you support your goals.
In our sessions, we will laugh, cry, build skills, dance, challenge patterns, listen to music, and engage in intimate concerns. We will communicate and build confidence through play, expressive arts, music, poetry, and conversation to gain confidence and build unique insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
My therapeutic style embraces the absurd wonders of life and its indeterminacy. Humor and awkwardness are natural parts of my style. My practice is also heavily influenced by my upbringing as a first-gen college student and my experiences in a large Puerto Rican family.
More personally, I enjoy experiencing nature, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and reading (non-fiction, fantasy, manga, and sci-fi — I am a bit of a nerd). I will talk non stop about collecting fountain pens, magic the gathering cards, and vinyl records. I can’t help smiling uncontrollably and laughing in loud bursts when with friends.
