More About Ayala
I have an understanding that every person has a unique set of circumstances and experiences that influence who they are and how they see the world. In my work, I focus on building rapport, connection, and understanding in order to meet each client where they are, wherever that may be. Together, we will work to create the changes needed to improve the quality of your life and relationships. You have come so far with the tools that you’ve acquired over time, and I hope to both provide you with new ones and sharpen some existing ones.
I specialize in Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed CBT, and more. My areas of focus are attachment issues, anxiety, depression, family conflict, stress, life transitions, relationships, trauma, grief and loss.
My goal is to guide you through your journey and provide a space that is healing, collaborative, nurturing, accepting, and non-judgemental so that you are able to be your genuine and authentic self, as I will be too. During our sessions, I will be present with you and embrace humanness and individuality.
I am a Black, bi-racial and Jewish woman who grew up in San Francisco. I hold a B.A. in Psychology as well as an MSW, both from the University of Washington. My experience working with people centers on work with both diverse and vulnerable populations, ranging from toddlers to adults in the school and child welfare systems. The combination of my professional training and life experiences has provided me the patience, understanding and sensitivity to be able to connect with a wide range of clients and issues. I am passionate about advocacy, self-empowerment, and centering joy and laughter.
Outside of work, I enjoy boxing, roller skating, music, true-crime, taking in nature and beautiful views, frequenting coffee shops, and eating good food (specifically brunch). I also enjoy doing absolutely nothing when I get the chance to.
