For those who cannot reliably make it into our Queen Anne office suite for therapy, we offer secure online sessions for individual therapy only. Online therapy is a great way to access the treatment you need from the comfort of your home—or wherever you might be. People opt for online therapy for any number of reasons: perhaps they do not drive, they have mobility issues, they’re not comfortable in unfamiliar environments, they travel for work, or perhaps the pandemic is making it difficult or impossible for them to go places.

We offer online therapy under the right circumstances, but there are some caveats and guidelines to which we must adhere. These requirements have to do with your privacy, our compliance, and the success and efficiency of the therapeutic process.


Ultimately, the goal of therapy is to make you feel better, so it’s essential to ensure we remain within the guidelines. Some things to know about online therapy:

Online therapy is for individuals as well as couples.


Therapy sessions are conducted over a
HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform and are
completely secure and private.


You must access online therapy from
a secure and reliable connection.


You must have a quiet, private place to
access your session; many clients who do not have privacy in their homes are able to have sessions from the quiet comfort of their car.


Prior to your session we will send you a link to connect with our telehealth platform. All you have to do is click the link. No need to download anything to your phone or computer.

From an Anchor Light perspective, online therapy sessions are really no different from individual therapy sessions; they are conducted from a private space in our office over a secure, HIPAA-compliant connection and we do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and at-ease.
