More About Boone

For me, therapy involves a collaborative approach.  When you show up, I do, too; then, together, we do/start the work.

I believe that there is a lot of power in giving yourself the time to sift through, and work on, the happenings that take up space within your heart and mind – and your relationships.  The therapy space gives you this time. It’s a place to connect, to reflect, to discover/rediscover, to grow, to problem solve, to cry, to shout, to become more, to walk away, to build foundations, to forgive, to love, to be.  We don’t always know the right answers, or how we are supposed to feel, or move forward, or handle certain events.  Making the choice to come to this space only empowers you to help you find what you’re seeking.

I view problems from a systemic / holistic standpoint, and believe that the pieces are just as important as the whole.  I am influenced by a handful of theories, but am also not bound by them just the same: narrative, experiential, solutions-focused, Gottman, CBT, family systems.  I believe strongly in the moment, and that not all things need to be planned for, or looked at from a certain lens.

For me, being able to help those seeking better relationships with their partner, or with themselves, or with their families (or with the world) is what drives my heart.  I’m passionate about helping others, because I, too, know what it feels like to be down, to be up, to be confused, to be lost, to be broken, to be searching for something.
